Default Blood Dervish

A while ago I made a thread about a dark aura/ aura of the lich necromancer/ritualist build, and someone proposed a dervish version of the build.
I was doing Dunes of Despair on my dervish today where:
a- I wanted armor ignoring power to damage the siege wurms quickly
b- to use consume corpse on a jade scarab to do the bonus
so a thought occurred to me today to try this new (I think) build which is now modified from the version I used for the mission.
Only the first 4 skills are important; the rest are up to you:

[build= OgSjQwrG7SeC2Q9gvXsXiXHYYcA]

radiant armour and a zealous weapon of enchanting/fortitude with +5 energy would be of help
you need a head piece of mysticism with runes giving you a total of 14 in Mysticism, 12 in blood and about 7 in earth prayers.

Ideally you should have around 550-560 health so that the healing obtained from the Avatar of Dwayna completely covers the sacrifice for the first two skills.

looks amusing. your gonna get a lot of people talking about how a normal scythe derv can do more damage, but forget them, it looks like it good times.

This could work in some PVP situations like to counter Shadow Form abusers..
Often there are situations where dervish awesome scythe damage is negated by things such as conditions and hexes, very high armor, blocking via enchantmenst or stances. Sure you can counter these by using certain avatars, Melandru for conditions, Dwayna for hexes, Grenth to counter blocking via enchantments, wild blow for stances..etc. But this is sort of one thing for all :P
Above all you can keep spamming 50 damage on monsters like destroyers and other high armor ones.

Hmm the build doesn't look the best...but as long as you're having fun that's the most important part I have to admit, using Dwayna with sacificing skills is quite clever, and maybe if we could find a way to take advantage of that more we could come up with something feasible as well as entertaining.

Lol that looks like a fun build.
Although to be semi serious, I wouldn't use vital boon, it might makes you sacrifice more than what you're heal by dwayna's.
If you get the numbers to match you can even get rid of mystic regen!

The build does look comedy, but I'd be tempted to make a few changes.

[build prof=D/N name="lulz" box myst=10+1+1 wind=8+1 blood=12 desc="Weapon #1: Staff of the Forgotten (Blood Magic)][Touch of Agony][Wallow's Bite][Test of Faith][Eternal Aura][Avatar of Dwayna][Featherfoot Grace][Dwayna's Touch][Resurrection Signet][/build]

[build prof=D/N name="lulz with no PvE skills" box myst=10+1+3 wind=8+1 blood=12 desc="Weapon #1: Staff of the Forgotten (Blood Magic)][Touch of Agony][Wallow's Bite][Unholy Feast][Test of Faith][Avatar of Dwayna][Featherfoot Grace][Dwayna's Touch][Signet of Pious Restraint][/build]

God knows how well they'd work mind you . It'll hardly be as good as a Touch Ranger.

I would try to keep your health to ten time more than Dwayna's avatar heals for. For example, at 12 Mysticism Dwayna heals for 51 health, so if you keep your health at 510HP, when you lose 10% of your health on using the touch skills, Dwayna should heal up? I don't know if Dwayna heals before or after the skill use...and it wouldn't be critical, but it's just a thought.

For any newbies reading this: USING A SCYTHE WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER.

In pvp i always ask myself if i should go a balanced self-healing/attack build or a pure attack...So the matter is: need high scythe mastery, mysticism and earth prayers...

Never thought about a toucher build, but it looks u can replace self healing skills with some touch skills...well done mate!

tbh the pvp build might actually be passable, however it doesn't do NEARLY enough damage for pve, unless you are fighting relatively few incredibly highly armored opponents.

It wouldn't work well in PvP either, you'd have to fight incredibly stupid people.
But it's a fun build and quite creative :P

It wouldn't work in PvP simply because you don't get eternal aura. Without AoD, you're basically useless...

Cute to use in RA for laughs. Has some nice synergy, and was a great synergy build. As for total efficiency, it doesn't succeed. And it is still damage, which can be mitigated. A touch ranger outperforms this by leaps and bounds due to life stealing. But fun concept and nice thinking on the skill synergy end.

Tis true. I tried a PvP-ish version and...when AoD is down you're pretty useless.

When AoD is up, however, it's darn fun, and gets some interesting responses.

I'm thinking of trying this without the windprayers, but adding Dark Aura for more damage.
